This seminar will provide an introduction to the current liquor licensing regime in Northern Ireland and the steps which must be followed by someone who wants to become a licence holder.
We’ll examine the practicalities of obtaining a licence and operating a licensed premises, as well as addressing the difficulties which can be encountered along the way.
During our time together we will also look at the limitations of the various types of licence and the practical realities which face licence holders.
And finally; we’ll also look at the changes that have been made to the regime since the legislation came into being almost 25 years ago and address the recent consultation paper on licensing reform and look at those areas which might well be altered now that we have a ‘functioning’ local government.
